Friday went to hiking with the unusual hiking friends, Rahul and Paul. Others can't join us because of study and working. This time we went to hunt for waterfall at Bukit Sagar.
Started at 8.30am.
strongly advise, never eat too full before hiking because the side effect is either you feel like vomiting or shitting. No kidding at all, I have to sit down at rest twice to catch my breath again cause feel like vomiting. Rahul and Paul felt like shitting throughout the entire hiking.
this could be the most facilities I have ever seen in a hiking spot and with most resting spots. Total with around 5 stations with the last to be at the waterfall.
sign boards and map can be seen throughout the trail...
we started from Bukit Sagar but there are few more starting points from other place that will end up at the same peak.
the starting point, Bukit Sagar and the big rock at starting point...
the entire trail is covered by tall trees, we hardly seen the sky and not hot at all. but we sweat a lot cause the trail is formed by tree roots and rocks and is all the way up for around 20 minutes before there is a flat place to walk. I nearly became Serena Williams after this hiking.
see, the trails we been through...
we were looking for the waterfall with minimum of information regarding which way to go. but we kept going up and up and we took nearly 1 hour to reach the first station.
with most facilities, from net bed, small gym, swings, benches, tables, cooking pot and even filtered water!!! (told you is the most facilities hiking spot ever)
we rest for awhile then we continue our journey. We reach station 5 eventually but took the wrong turn and missed out station 6, we went back down to another starting point where we met other hiker from another side of the mountain. they were shocked when they found out we came from Ampang. we were shocked cause we took the wrong path.
so, we went back all the way up from another trail and took around 2 and half hours in total since we started before we saw this sign.
if only there is a spot light right on top of this sign. we were relief for few seconds but we need another 30 minutes before reaching the waterfall.
we reach the waterfall with less than 30 minutes but we were exhausted by then.
waterfall!!!! not really amazing but kind of refreshing.
we went in and enjoy the sexy girl, fat lady massage. thats what Rahul and Paul named those water fall.
Photo above: left is sexy girl cause water not too strong, just nice. right is fat lady, super strong!!!
we enjoyed the service from waterfall for around 15 minutes. got a group pic in Paul's camera. but didnt get it from him yet.
then off we left the place at 12pm. this time we went to the right path and extremely easy cause we walk all the way back to where we missed the turn before this. cut short nearly 15 to 20 minutes of our journey. we officially reach the bottom of Bukit Sagar at around 1.50pm.
total of nearly 6 hours in the jungle. tiring!!!
that evening, as been planned earlier. we went to Ampang Avenue to have Korean cuisine for dinner. Rahul cant join us, but with Seng Kong, William, Kar Teng, Paul, Anne and Joanna.
its called Kang San Ea.
we ordered 4 Kalbee, 2 pork 2 chicken BBQ, = RM 100
Dolsot Bibem Bap and Pajeon which is Miso soup and Kimchi soup. (dont ask me which is which) = RM 60
A bottle of Soju (Seng Kong requested) = RM 20
otak-otak pancake which they called Pajeon = RM 30
5 bowl of rice = RM 25 (RM 5 each)
and ofcourse, they charge quite high for everything. they provide quite a lot complimentary dishes as well. we nearly ordered 7 glasses of green tea before I spot the menu RM 5 per glass and we immediately change the order to plain water.
like these side dishes and also desserts. total we payed RM31 each. Kind of worth it if you ask me, but typical Korean cuisine just dont really suit us. Japanese food still taste better!!!
we really did enjoyed and we also planned what to do next week before I go back to Singapore. we end the night with dessert at Yew Lik. It was my worse performance ever because I didnt take much photos of everyone.
