tiring day...

Before I start this blog, I have to say...it was my mistake that my 100th blog was not really my 100th. After deleting 3 draft blogs, I found out that this is my real 100th blog. But nothing special to blog already so this would be a random one..."damn!!!"

anyhow, this few days is freaking busy. Especially kitchen preparation and production for today. JJ absent for few days due to some health problem..so there were only 4 of us doing 6 dishes. chef Mokhtar helps us a lot in order to get everything done in time.

today started with a mess...first I could not find the pastry kitchen keys that Charles passed to me yesterday, so I have to rush all the way back to college early in the morning and look for it. Luckily it was outside the kitchen, if not...chef will fine dice me and saute me.

then it was my pasta..it was another mess, all stick together and portioned wrongly...luckily Anna helps me to remake the whole thing and turn out very nice!! Thanks Anna, if not customers will stuffed those pasta in my nose or even worst...ehmm~

after that everything runs smoothly and our food is damn nice!!! another success and we tested our limit with only 4 kitchen crews...beat that!!! anyway, I was Chef of the Day. thanks to my team who fully cooperate.

today's menu~

Anna's Vietnamese Chicken Soup (the only soup so far that worth for the price we charged)

Jin's Chicken Shepherd Pie..(some commented too salty but still item 86)

suppose to be JJ's Mexican Tortilla Sandwich, but now is ours!!!

my re-modified by Anna Shrimp Fra Diablo....(first to be item 86)

Charles' Brownies...(the most unwelcome dish of the day)

and the most irresistible~
Charles' Oreo Cheesecake...(he made 3 rings of these and 1 tray of brownies all by his own.Salute!! Item 86 as well.)

although we sold out most of the food, but still managed to keep something for our lunch...

seems like not enough for us...but end up we couldn't finish all of the~

the theme is Bollywood and the service side managed to get some traditional costume. good job!!
(from left : Pakiswood Omer, me, Banglawood Akungee, Anna and Chinawood Chin Yi)

these 2 days are superb tired, flatted after end of operation...can't concentrate on HR report and other assignments..the brain is not functioning properly~

need some motivation again and its coming soon...yeah!!!

well, something indirectly bothering me now...
I just realise that someone is so so 'concern' about my personal life..'thanks for the attention you guys put on my life' (sarcastically)
these people just acting extremely childish...they will drag in anyone's personal life to their topic. at this point, even enemy could be friend...because they share the same interest. how great was that??

well, I will not going to do anything to stop them. Because if I did, they will be lifeless as that is their only entertainment..ow~poor thing

just wonder how 2 faces people could live in their life. The hate every single one around him/her but not you (cause he/she is talking to you), but once you leave...you became their 'victim' as well..maybe these people should learn to be more matured and stop asking why does everyone hate you so much...'look into the mirror and sleep with dozen of pillows in order to let you wake up from your fantasy life' (that was my personal advise and I know the person is not going to listen to me..cause he/she still a kid!!)

ya it might be not offensive if the person don't know, but unfortunately...I ain't blind nor retarded~
but...screw it, do what ever you wanted to do...I will still carry on with my life~this piece of shit act will not going to deject me from anything. Tired and sick of facing all these peoples...

my mum's special pasta salad~ extremely nutritious, good in presentation and taste good!!

The bronze statue was unveiled yesterday at Old Trafford's East Stand. 40 years after Man United lifted the first European Cup at Wembley in 1968 and commemorated the finest attacking trio in Man United's history. Consisting the late George Best, Denis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton.

so now, there will be 2 statue outside Old Trafford which is this Legendary Trio and Sir Matt Busby's statue

next should be Sir Alex Ferguson...haha

anyway, did a mini project for my friends from Indonesia. They will be leaving in 2 weeks time, so just made up a short photos video as memory for we all. Really glad that I met them during my training because they wont be 2 faces to you. They are a group of great trainees with bright future in this industry.

some of them had watched the video and this no special effect but yet meaningful video made some of them cried...this friendship will never end!!!

has been raining for the past few days or weeks...so, could not get any nice scenery pic to share with you all...

ehmm...JJ please get well soon, the group miss need you to do the assignment and in Deli's operation~

1st service...

Another week, another Deli operation. This time is my group to do the service. We set our theme as Hawaii Beach or something like that but didnt really turn out that way. As what Mr. Teddy(our lecturer) said, this time we are going to simplifies everything from food to deco...
previously our seniors did at least 7 or 8 dishes but due to our number of members in a group which is 5 only...we only serve 5 dishes plus 1 extra dessert made by chef Zanariah.

part of the simple deco in Deli...

and our Menu of the day are..

Minestrone Soup

Shawarma Pita Bread

Pasta Carbonara with either beef bacon, turkey ham or vegetrarian

Curry Chicken Puff

Blueberry Cheesecake

and Chocolate Cake (the extra)

Service started 12pm where over 10 lecturers reserved to have lunch at Deli in order to bid farewell for Ms. Hadayat. But no confirmation on the table arrangement nor time they are coming, so end up we messed up table arrangement in the Deli and cause a slight confusion on both service and kitchen side. The customers are more than the previous 1 where we have 2 tables of 10 and several groups with minimum 4 pax per table. So beside busy, its still busy...

with the minimum space in the Deli and the corridor, we have to be very 'flexible' and fortunate enough we managed to overcome all the difficulties on that day. Good job guys!!!

This is my group after service..Jin still counting money
eh...why JJ and Jin's costume looks so familiar, where did I seen that before?? ahem ahem~

after service, what else?? lunch time!!!
but due to the number of customers we have, most of the food are Item 86(term for sold out in this industry)

this is what we have...

makan time!!!

but something bothering us for these 2 operations which is our lecturer did not communicate with each other well...3 of them all telling us different stories which is very confusing and frustrated for us who are in the middle. But guess that is what we have to deal with for the remaining operations...

******
On Saturday, I've watched a movie with the title Love In The Time Of Cholera. It is based on a famous Spanish novel written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It is about a 50 years love story between 3 persons set in the late 19th century and the early 20th century. A guy who waited his love one for more than 50 years until her husband passed away. I would say it is a quite boring movie more most of us but I found it interesting at the same time.

With the tag line "how long can you wait for love?". It certainly a very challenging for most of us who could not wait that long and eventually give up. But this guy did it and the reward?? watch it yourself. Anyway, you cant find this movie in Malaysia's cinema..so roughly you guys should know how did I get to watch it..

the trailer of Love In The Time Of Cholera

cheers everyone...
I believe in miracle~

sebel...

Not really in the mood to blog yet,but have to update peoples around me what is going on in my life so far...as what I have promised before I leave Penang about 1 month ago..I said "we will surely meet again"

and we really did, but it was a short meet up..reached Batu Feringgi about 4pm. When the bus drove pass Rasa Sayang, it was like a 'reaching home' kind of feeling...don't ever say I over react, because that was how I really felt.

thanks to the girls who allowed 3 of us stay in their living room...(under budget trip)
after waiting almost everyone came home from work...went for dinner.

from left to right: Dewi, Jeje, Nisa, JJ,Jin and Citra (me and Happy could not fit in to the pic because i holding camera)

the girls treated us...THANKS!!!!

then we went to night market, the guy's house and back to Golden Sands to meet some friends...
you guys must be wondering, why didnt we stay at the guys house, not that we are horny or what...but they have no mattress supply and they are smoking all the time...(does this make you guys stop thinking something else and continue reading this blog??) (hope it does)

we slept quite late and eventually woke up late...(lunch time)
after lunch, nothing much to do..so the girls held a mini concert for us..

Happy singing while Citra playing guitar...

Yana and JJ making tea...

then Jin and JJ were too boring and wanted to go to Gurney...but I dont feel like going because we will be leaving Penang early in the morning on the next day...and we ended up going to the beach.

dont ask me, I dont know these people who sitting infront of us...

sitting at the beach once again had calm me down...luckily the sunset was nice..

some nice shots of mine...(I made it up) it represent my feeling during that time and even now...

at night, JJ and Jin went to meet up with other people while I just spending times with the girls...(dont ask me why, because I wont tell you guys why)

so they again held another mini concert for me..

Nisa, Happy and Dewi with guitar...(they can really play and sing!!)

Nisa and Happy...

Happy, Nisa, Citra and Dewi...

the Jeleks' handphone with souvenirs from Jin...

well, this time when we leave...we were not that sad because some of them will be coming to KL before heading back to Indonesia after finishing their training..

schedule for those who work in Adventure Zone(counting down to the last day)

Citra and Happy who got PH that day, accompany us to jetty...

all the way to Jetty, I did not speak much...(this is where we waiting for the ferry)
and again..I cried, as what some say...real man cries~ I wont hide my feeling...even though I know we will be meeting again in 2 weeks time but separations hurts..(it was the most difficult feeling to be handle in one life)

after bitting farewell to both of them...as the ferry leaving the jetty...

managed to took 1 last shot of them...before they slowly disappear from my eyesight...

as the ferry goes...

and further away....at 1 point, they ran back to the jetty and gave me a call to check weather I saw them or not..during that time, it hurts me more...but I hold my tears..

and even further away from Penang...from them...

got this while on the way to Butterworth...

that was my Penang trip...a short but memorable trip...
after reaching KL...I got a extremely bad news from the girls, which is the HR decided to extend their training until the day before they go back to Indonesia, which means the original 1 week holiday and trip to KL for them has broken up...it does the same for me, because I planned everything for them but now, it seems like not going to happen...

but there will be still a glimpse of hope..because some of the staff plan to appeal for them in order to allow them to end their training as what has been stated earlier...

this is one thing I dont like about the resort, especially the HR. They tend to play around with trainees to achieve something...in my case, I have been extended 1 month in FO to become 'stoner of lobby' or what they called us as 'Lobby Ambassador' (sounds more glamor)

this time, they extend their training to another week just because they are extremely short of staff and no trainees are going in...WTF??!!! they are using our rights!!! we are just trainee but we still have our rights. How can they used us?? They are facing shortage of staffs is their problem right?? they should have planned everything ahead before this problem occur. No matter what, after forcing them to work 1 more week for you. They still will go and you still face the same problem, must well just deal with it now.

because of this issue, all of them got no mood to work anymore...it has slow down their performance and certainly will cause the resort's productivity. So, shall I congrats the HR for doing such a great job?? ah...whatever lah...

Now, both parties (me and them) are just praying for the best to happen...because I dont want them to hate Malaysia. Despite, me, jin and jj are the peoples that change their point of view towards Malaysia...we make them feel welcome. (not like other people who treat them like slaves) Hospitality industry...is this how it suppose to be?? make your staff suffer and only please your guest.

come on!! what is the purpose of having industrial training?? to learn as much as possible ofcourse. But by putting them in 1 fucking departments for the 6 fucking months...this is bullshit!!! unless they are in FO, fine dining restaurant or in HK where they can fully involve in operations....but NO!!! they are in coffee house clearing dishes, HK doing turn down service or the worst, stoning in Adventure Zone looking after small kids. What does that contribute to hospitality student's future?? being a good mother??

they had appealed to the HR in the beginning of their training, and what they get is just "ok, I will arrange" but end up, they still train in that freaking kids land for 6 months!!!
as what I have been told, according to their contract...they are suppose to train in F&B, HK or FO but end up in play land?? wtf is this???

not to be mentioned, even I also got the same treatment. We chose 3 departments to train at during the 5 months of training. I chose F&B, FO and Kitchen but end up..I trained in HK and Adventure Zone as well which is not what I want. At first we thought that it is good for us to train in every department, even though it is still good cause I get to train in HK, but after think about it....they just placing us because they need more man power...especially the 1 month extra in FO and Adventure Zone...

damn!!!! their management sucks!!! cant plan properly and used trainees to the max!!!
I enjoyed the training over there, people around there are damn nice, just the HR part makes the whole experience sucks...

disappointed?? YES!!!! pissed off?? YES!!!!

now what me and the girls can do is hope and pray for the best to happen....

anyway, here is something to cheer me up...slightly only..even though I know everyone will expect a grand celebration from me, but soory, I got no mood to fully celebrate...I didnt even watch the game...so..dont expect much, but I am glad we do the double...

3rd European Champions!!! congrats....

100th!!!

some of my friends who really concern on my life blog (actually only Joanna say that la) blamed me because I did not blog for quite some time. Well, basically I was "rushing" my report. As in the report required hell lot of typing, so even I have nothing to type over there, eventually I got no mood to type over here as well...you guys should understand, when you were required to type almost 70 pages...where got mood to type others??? except chatting la...

anyhow, to sum up my looooooooong waited blog...I just kept it so it sounds more special.

EVERYBODY, THIS IS MY 100th BLOG!!!! Century man!!!!

to celebrate my century blog...I collected several valueble issues that happened in between my previous blog until this...

No.1
Sem 7's kitchen practical started by helping Sunway Univeristy College to prepare food for Teacher's Day celebration on 10th May. All 10 of us who chosen Deli as elective subject, has been summoned to help out in kitchen...

end of the function..we have a "hoi gung jau" (pre-working meal) This is because we are going to start our Deli service next week...

No.2
While doing my report, another thing made me stress was....Manchester United's performance in the league. As it has down to 1 game left and we must win in order to win the title. What else?? we won 2-0 againts Wigan and Chelsea drew 1-1 with Bolton...so we are the champion again!!!

Ryan Giggs lifted his 10th League Title...he scored the second goal which gave a huge relief to the whole team.

Champion!!! Champion!!! Champion!!!

Men behind the scene, asst manager Carlos Quieroz and Sir Alex Ferguson. This is his 21st cup with Manchester United.

who else deserved the Player of the year award than Cristiano Ronaldo?? he also won the Golden Boot by putting 31 goals in the net as a winger...record breaker!!! Beside that, he also won several individual awards as well as tipped to win the World Player of The Year soon...

Hell yeah!!!!! I was so crazy until wore the ManUnited jersey at home while listening to the live commentary...was too afraid to watch live match..so end up celebrating alone at home...sad case

anyway, 1 down, 1 to go..MOSCOW!!! Champions League final against Chelsea!!! woohooooo!!!!!
