X'mas Eve 2008

I've got off day on Christmas' eve and many people expected that I will be going crazy on celebrating it since I am so free for the whole day. Got 2 invitation for that night, 1 is mom's friend doing a open house at his new place and another is Joanna asking me for steamboat at her place. But somehow I rejected both and plan to just stay at home.

roughly about 5.30pm, I saw Win Datt online and wish him Merry Christmas in advance. Then he found out that I got no plan for the evening, so he invited me to his friend's church in Puchong by telling me that I can experience the real meaning of Christmas. Then I think, that must be the best way to celebrate it instead of clubbing, walking on the street sraying people or stay at home. So invitation accepted.

get myself ready immediately and off we go. But faced nearly 2 hours of traffic jam. Finally 8.25pm we reach our destination. This church is a branch of the church at MBSSKL. The celebration was done outside the church and I think we are the latest 1 to be there.

we register and got a Santa's hat...

when we reach, the Children's fancy dress contest is going on..

which mean, we missed the fun games and door gifts section...

it was Chris' birthday that night and we got nothing for him, so we 'borrowed' the cake and took photo with it. XD
Chris having a not so happening birthday....

Children's fashion contest...

spot the huge yellow thing in the middle?? His parents chose to make him into cheese!!! Looking at these kids standing on the stage cluelessly. They are just so adorable...

Then it was the musical sketch done by youth from this church with the title "He Lives In Me"

about a girl who change another girl from being just Christian to real Christian. (is this the right term? sorry if I type anything wrong)

dancing and singing...

happy ending...

then it is message and prayer from a pastor followed by candle light service.

passing down the light...

once the light is off...I feel like singing Heal the World by Michael Jackson, but instead of that. We sang Christmas Carols. Really in to Christmas mode at that moment...

raise your candles and sing along...

then it is everyone favorite section...

lining up for food at nearly 11pm...dupper time!!! (dinner + supper)

all these food prepared by people from this church...nothing else can beat home cooked food on Christmas' eve...although the taste is just ok~

then we went into the church and wait for countdown...not some big 1 though. Just sing along and wait until 12am...

busy chitchatting while others cleaning the mess outside...

out of a sudden, they start counting down and next thing is...Merry Christmas!!!
kind of lost at that moment, but we just blend in...haha

4 of us...Chris, Steven, Edward 21 and Edward 20. [2 Edward(s)] haha

4 of us plus Edison from this church who invited us here.

Then as we heading home, Win Datt's friend called and said they have a party in TAR College...Edward 21 didnt join us, so 3 of us went there with a huge party going on in our mind. On the way, Wayne and his friend join us as well.

As we reach there, it was actually a house party...=_=
They were actually exchanging gifts already and 5 of us been isolated outside the house with half bottle of Chivas and plenty of left over food....

we just sat outside, drink and chit chat for awhile then head back home around 3am...

phew...what a night!!!

a meaningful night I should say...not the ending part, but the begining part. Atleast now I know what is Christmas all about. Well, not fully but partly...will get to know more in future.

Even though I can't celebrate with you, but this is the best I can do for now...

Merry Christmas baby~

ho ho ho~

Christmas is quite a special day especially it is at end of the year. People who don't really celebrate it will still get together and treat Christmas as a big day for them.

For me, Christmas is all about someone we love and family. Maybe it is because all the movies I've watched that related to Christmas, talk about these only. The ending of those movies will either whole family finally get together or couple get together.

This year I felt so excited about Christmas which I think it must have something to do with Happy. Unfortunately, we can't celebrate together.

The other reason is because the whole KL already turn on the Christmas mode about a month ago. I self witness the whole transformation happen in KL, from Berjaya Times Square to Pavilion as I walk through all these places day in day out.

out of all the decorations, I still think the 1 in Pavilion is the best!!! Golden Christmas is the theme. Many said they reuse last year's Christmas Tree but I didn't see it since I was in Penang during that time. So it is new for me and it is grand, which make Pavilion stands right up there above the others.

it was complete before the launching of Malaysia Saving Sales.

Since then, everyday I will walk pass this tree and without fail, there must be someone taking photo with it.

it is just so GRAND!!!

well, 2 days more for Christmas and I will be working my ass out on the expected most busy day of the year. So, wish me luck!!!

ohya, I've been told to work until 4th January. So looks like I have another busy day on first day of 2009.

my Christmas wish would be, settle my further study stuff as soon as possible cause Singapore is celebrating Christmas too and they slow down everything...then the next would be you. Because all I want for Christmas...is you~

Merry Christmas everybody!!!

human statue...

I am so nervous and worry about my further studies application. JJ confirm flying off on January to UK, Jin Min confirm study in Raffles on Jan also and is translating his documents, Kayren did her first exam already (fastest to study).

me??? still sitting here waiting for an email which hopefully will tell me how much do I need to pay and when do I need to go over to Singapore. Christmas is coming and New Year is not far away too, yet I am here waiting for that email. Everyday check my inbox yet all I got is, who who who comment on your photos, who who who wrote on your wall...etc etc

I got no mood to work anymore cause now I have roughly about 12 more days of working which will end on 31st December 2008. The last day of the year and after that, is a whole new beginning of the whole new chapter of my life!!! Plan to have some holiday until whenever I starts to study again. Need rest badly or better known as being lazy. Hopefully will pay a visit to Singapore soon to settle my stuff and....hehehe ;)

all these study thingy is driving me crazy but I didnt really give up cause that is what I have to do. At least a degree, if not how to compete with Happy? She is in degree course now...

but something I saw recently in KL somehow distract my passion towards further study. I've been to Australia about 5 years ago and 1 thing attracts tourists' attention on the street is human statues.

golden man, silver man standing on the street, under the hot sun just to entertaining peoples. This is an art, something that not everyone can do and that is why it is so special in western countries.

but Malaysians will always be the clever one when they wanted to follow what others are doing. For the past few months, the hit of human statues is spreading in KL, although just few of them and obviously they are able to attract tourist or locals. Not something extraordinary but Malaysians will always be Malaysians, if you know what I mean. At the same time, tourist appreciate the efforts they had put in. Well, Malaysians are clever because we will always simplifise other's effort and make them ours...or better known as pure lazy.

here is 1 great example.

well, not much effort from this one....

besides his face and neck. He didn't colour his hair or atleast do something with his hair. He don't have to stand under the hot sun cause his 'stoning' hours is from 7pm onwards. Worst thing is, he don't even change pose cause all he need to do is sit there for few hours and get money. So easy right?? Seriously how much effort did he put in?? The only thing that attracts people to put money on his silver can is his height I guess...I am not critisinging about his height, just that I can't find any other reasons why should I spend my money on him.

tired of sitting there and do nothing... XD

well, when I sit there and do nothing, my mom nag me...he sit there and do nothing but got money, so that is the difference. Maybe I should stop whatever I am doing and start sitting in the middle of the street and do nothing. At least I still earn money right???

not much but surely can survive in KL....

why am I still worrying about my further study?? paint myself and start sitting there but do nothing. Money still coming in...hahaha

aikz...

every time when we wanted to apply, renew anything that is important and related to government. There is 1 thing we must do, which is get up very very very early in the morning so that we can get it done as soon as possible and go home. Because it normally will takes up to hours and always have a very long queue plus the people working in these places are well known as slow workers.

so far, renew driving leisense is the fastest where we can actually witness the whole process right in front of us. Guess that our leisense is really nothing...just a laminated paper which allowed us to drive around.

few weeks back, I have to renew my passport which I only used twice since I got my own passport 5 years ago back in 2003. Went to Australia that year with family (that is why I need a passport that time) and 2005 went to Singapore with William, Win Datt, Yanjie and Kevin Kumar for Christmas. 5 years travel twice, not really worth it right???

On 1 off day, my mom woke me up at 6.30am and without any breakfast. We went to the one at Wangsa Maju. Now only I know there are only 2 places for passport making in whole Klang Valley, another one near Damansara.

after a little bit of traffic jam, we reached the place at 7.23am. I was confused cause there are many people standing at the roadside like those illegal parking instructors who con your money and said will look after your car when you are not around. But normally there is only 1 in 1 place, but this time there were plenty.

get the car parked and get parking ticket from the machine which means they are not parking instructor or car park security guard. They cant protect my car also cause most of them are kids or aunties. (I am not sexist or look down on them ok?)

then there is this awful clothes cobination auntie approached us and said full package, RM13. What full package so cheap only cost RM 13?? full body massage?? but I need to renew my passport....

She then lead us to her very small office and kept saying, her offer is the cheapest, we can line up to take numbers after everything is done here. But my mom still went to line up first. So she took a photo of me and filled up the application form for me.

the tiny office with business...

then went to look for my mom and I got the number.

wow, 2 numbers more to go only....so fast!!!
luckily didnt listen to that awful dressed auntie.

another information for readers out there, there is no minimum years for your passport to be valid like driving leisence where we can choose 3 years or 5 years. But our government are very clever, they suck off RM300 from you first for 5 years and how many times you are going to travel is not of their business. So, think wisely before you decide to renew or get your passport. If you are not a often traveller, then think again...

I renew it cause I applying to study in Singapore next year. Sufficient reason to renew and pay RM300...

normally we have to wait for atleast 2 hours after payment before getting our passport as per stated in the payment receipt. But about 20minutes after payment, I got my passport and leave the place at 8.25am. Just 1 hour!!!

this is because woke up early, pay RM13 for people to fill up the form for us plus the technology they are using now. Fast and efficient.

when we left...
saw this outside which located right beside the Imegrasion Centre.

"ma...we got conned~"

half a dream comes true

I am so jealous on William and Wee Xin who studying in the place where is in the city that I most wanted to go. MANCHESTER. William even show off by telling me he is working in a bar in Old Trafford. I nearly feel like slapping him or even think maybe I should change my course and study what is he studying right now.

ok, fine. I dont have the money yet to travel so far to see the Theatre of Dream or better known as Old Trafford which is also known as the home ground of one of the world biggest football club, my favorite, Manchester United F.C.

I need to save up lots and lots and lots and lots of money in order to complete one of my dream, which is be at Old Trafford and watch a live match before I die. Due to the huge difference in the currency, it is so difficult to achieve that.

But now, my dream can half comes true due to a huge fans based in Asia countries. Manchester United has opened Asia's first interactive football experience named The Manchester United Experience by The Vanetian Macao.

located at Shop 2215, level 3, The Grand Canal Shoppes , The Vanetian Macao.

you will learn the history and glorious moments of Manchester United from Busby's babes era to famous Treble season in 1999 and latest double winning season 2008.

walk into the replica locker room and listen to Sir Alex Ferguson telling you what does it takes to be a champion like Manchester United.

train like a pros with the 5 skills training pods they provided. You can test your skills in awareness, dribbling, on the turn, shoot and goalkeeping. Test your skills and compete against fans from around the world. Your challenges will be video and for those who get highest scores on each day will be added in the wall of fame.

you can also test your skill as a manager where you will find out weather your decision is the same as Sir Alex Ferguson in actual game scenarios.

other than these, you can also walk through the tunnel and step onto the virtual pitch to feels what is it like to play at Old Trafford. It is as close as the real thing!!!

with this, I only need to travel to Macao and achieve half of my dream as soon as possible. Even though no matter what I still will pay a visit to Old Trafford, one day...but at least now there is something that is so close to what I dream for and its way cheaper!!!

so gonna go to Macao soon..haha (maybe in few years time)

Glory glory Man United!!!!

what the....

It has been nearly 1 year or more than that since I last went back to my beloved secondary school. Since today is a off day and my legs are itchy, I have a random plan where I called up Daasa to play football at school. It has been awhile since both of us played football together.

we set to meet up at 10am and I waited for 1 hour plus before he shows up. (as usual) Then Parthiban came with the pump. Just 3 of us kicking ball, so sad but better than nothing.

we played for awhile and mots of the time we talk crap and had a wonderful sex education tutorial conducted by Prof. Daasaratan.

we had lost our stamina since all of us never kick a ball for quite some times, so we went to clean ourselves up.

ok, before this is all craps because that is not the point I post this entry...the following photos tell how much has MBSSKL changed.

the 4 storey air-conditional building named after Uncle Lim if not mistaken.

Throughout my 5 years in this school, the only few places with air-cond are library, computer lab and lecture hall. Now they have whole building air-conditionaled. Wow!!!!

the more power one would be right opposite the building, look at the design of the staircase...is like some sought of international school or university.

all the brickaton money gone for caging the staircases to prevent small kids from falling down...

then they have something that all the lrt users craving for which never happen during my 5 years in this school. They have it only after I left the school...so sad right???

staircase to Plaza Rakyat station, finally the school believe that Petaling Street is not safe anymore... =_="

the condo-a-like classroom if not mistaken. with BALCONIs. o_O
it is the backside of the caging staircase building.

not just that, the more power is on the floor....

so....wow~ (I am speechless when I saw this, seriously!!!)

then the modified study corner with a fish pond...a good place to teach students about ecosystem..

with all this super nice world class study environment, not to mention the computers they are having in the lab plus others that I could not see due to it is school holiday now...which parents don't want to send their children in here???

MBS = Malaysia Best School

they are doing their best to reaching this and I guess they are not far from there...

studying here, you dont have to worry about the security level...

no joke ok, they can see you and they know what are you doing in the class...

because of all these power facilities, I found out something very funny....

sign board showing directions to places in the school...

I remember back in those days, we were lost when comes to finding science labs. But even if that happen, all we need to do is ask people around. The school is not that big anyway, worst come to worst we only walk a few more minutes or climbing up and down to look for the destination. I guess now a days students has been trained to shut their mouth but only use their eyes when they are lost. This will bring down the noises in the corridor. Brilliant idea!!!

the school tells you this pipe can only be use when there is a fire (must be order from fire fighting department) I guess someone accidentally use it to water plants around the school since we are turning green now...

the school tells you if anything happen, run to the field and gather around...something that dont have for the past many years and yet we know where to gather when comes to fire drill...

they also tells you where to line up during assembly...

another power one is on the staircase...not because it is fully covered with tiles but look closely...

I can only laugh out loud when I saw this tiny foot print on both side of the stair case. Is this secondary school or they turned it into kindergarten after I left??? Why do they need this in a secondary school???

they want you to be dicipline, behave...etc etc and now they even want you to walk on the right path. can you imagine this...

after school, a bunch of morning section students just finish playing football and they are going to the canteen to get a drink. They were all chit chatting happily while walking up the stairs. Suddenly Ms. G came out from office and look around to find victims as usual..

she shouted "you guys over there, come over here"

students "what happen?? dont know..."(talking to themselves)

ms. G "what are you doing over there and where are you all going?"

students "just finish football, going to canteen.."

ms. G "but some of you walking on the right side.."

students "we are a group and..."

ms. G "I know you are in a group, you must follow the school rules. You need to line up 2 by 2 when going up the stairs. You are blocking the way for people who wants to go down you know?"

students " but..."

ms. G "no but, all of you got 10 demerits and have to attend detention class tomorrow.."

students "....."

This might really happen because they are turning this school into a military school...
talk about ms.G, today we met someone sounds exactly like her. I think she is her sister. She must be in the Plan-G for building up the G-kingdom cause the way she ask us question reminds me of ms.G.

other than that...

noted : DON't TOUCH THE GLASS. (Principle says so)

beside laugh out loud, I really dont know how to react anymore, this happen when the school is finally fully incharge by the principle. He can do whatever he want...sadly, MBSSKL culture is gone. Not the same school that I love anymore...

The school try to control everything students are doing but the best is they encourage graffiti art...

and they don't care about student's view on politic...

look closer in the middle of 'X'

whatever they do here will always affect the students' future, when they step out from school. I guess most of them will cry when they are facing the real world and without protection and guideline from school anymore. They might be graduate with flying colours, but they won't be ready to explore and be independant. They will find it difficult to adapt themself into the real world because all these while they were in the 'fantasy' world...

it might looks great and everyone will look up to the system this school is using plus all the facilities they have...but I felt bad for those juniors, because they can't explore themselves...

Majulah MBS!!! (good luck)
