hazy hiking

On Monday night, me meet up with the usual yum cha gang and as usual, imcomplete due to some still at oversea. June and July seems like a great months as most of us will be in KL. So, meet up with Yanjie, Kelvin and William at Steven's to yum cha and had naan!!!

Then we go for second round at William's place with some beers and snacks and of course, cards.

We were accompanied by William's bitch named Joey. She looks like Marley and behave like Marley, she ran around us for more than 2 hours...non stop!!!

We slept at around 4am and woke up at 6am to go for hiking at Broga, Semenyih. Before that, we picked up April who decided to join us before her class.

Supposingly to go there for sunrise, but we failed plus the haze is quite serious in the morning.

Then we came to this palm tree plantation place at Semenyih.
Some where that we wont know there is a place for hiking if Yanjie didnt bring us here.

The place is quite quiet actually maybe because of the haze or it is Tuesday morning...
the entire path is rather smooth and not really challenging. we can barely just walk all the way up, just some part is kind of sandy and slippery from time to time.

thats April who start complaining before we reach the first peak. But still managed to pose for photo =_="

here we are, on our way to the first peak.

Broga is believed to be derived from name Buragas, a mythical beast tha live in forest. But for me, it sounds like some Brazillian footballer.

Kelvin sneaking into the weeds

The hill is very unique because it is located right at the border between Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

view from first peak...

another view from first peak...

Quite western-feel if you ask me, feel like we are at another country when we reach the first peak. Just a little draw back due to the haze. If these scenaries with blue sky, it will be perfect!!!

But the boy who came back from Manchester likes the haze, maybe he is sick of fresh air in England. (that thing William is holding is made by April, its called Hama beads)

Standing in front of second peak, the smiley face hill (if you can see, its right behind me)
cant see?? here is a better view

smiley face...err~ alright, abit cacated smiley face.

Kelvin showing his yeng-ness

4 posers...ignore Yanjie, a pose requested by photographer.

3 statues with April. lol

New Zealand!!!
those big rocks look like cows from here...

The entire Broga is surrounded by weeds, which westernise the whole place even more
at this point it seems like going to rain, but we decided to continue

time to go for second peak

from second peak...

third peak from second peak

Yanjie on big rock, we actually asked him to jump but is too dangerous...

April promoting her hama beads...

group photo...
We met a big group of students from Serdang while on our way up, they came much earlier than us and got a group photo with their camera. Dont really bother, just having fun because we are the first people they met and so are they to us.

Then there is a couple behind us and we communicated via 'thousand mile pass sound', from one peak to another peak.

There are few more peaks according to Yanjie, but we are too tired to continue.

So, we leave a mark on 2nd peak to tell everyone we were there before. If you see this rock, is done by me. (nonsense)

After breaking the rock, we leave second peak...

and the sun finally managed to break through the haze, not fully though

Result from William's phone, the route not really difficult as you can see and its only 3.21 km...even shorter than MBSSKL cross country.

We took 1 hour to hike and 1 hour for relaxing (according to my camera timing and William's phone)
We spend quite some time at peak 1 and 2 but going back down is much faster and easier.

After that, we went to Kajang for brunch

Kee V's pepper soup restaurant, something famous in Kajang beside satay.

Pepper soup hand tear Pan Mee
the pan mee is like rubber and can only taste pepper ginger from the soup. failed!!!

Pepper soup Yee Mee
same taste with the first, cause the soup is their selling point. So, beside pepper ginger, still pepper ginger...

Fire Blast Meat...
dried chillies, onions, chilli padi = freaking SPICY!!!

Rm29.50 for 5 of us. So so lah...cause we were very hungry but the pepperishness/ spiciness minimise our appetite.

It has been awhile since I have so much laughter, thanks guys. Hopefully there are more to come on my remaining holiday.

KL sunset on 23rd June...haze~

next stop, Ipoh and Penang!!!
