the journey of Nicgolast,GimLiam and Edragone

whenever 3 persons hiking, I always feels like I am in LOTR where the 3 heroes kept running along the entire Middle Earth, up the hill, in the river...etc etc

that explain the title for this entry...I know is lame. Not that Yanjie got long hair and sharp ears, William is short like dwarf or I am an 80 year old ranger. Just wanted to fit our name in it for fun.

on Sunday, we came to Bukit Tabur again for the second time. But instead of the usual Bukit Tabur, we went to Bukit Tabur East Trail which located opposite of the trail we went before last year.

so, here is my 2nd hiking in 3 days. due to over 300 photos, I have to compile them up in order to show you all more photos and not make this entry a trilogy like LOTR. (for better quality, refer to my facebook)

Bukit Tabur East Trail that we are about to hike...

but we park our car at the wrong side, so we have to walk for a distance before reaching the starting point. We have to cross a small river before entering the jungle. The river is from the damp.

after going all the way up through the jungle with many ants around. we reached this point where we have to use rope to climb up and continue our hiking. the challenging part begins...

rope climbing in jungle...

then came to the first photo shooting point. well, I as usual with my digital camera, but Yanjie came with his SONY Alpha DSLR...mine kena tapao already. while we take photos, William just stand there admiring the scenary. after this, he got the intention to get a camera as well. haha

the city view, behind the hill is KL and also the damp.

the first stopping point that only have enough place for the 3 of us...

after first round of photo shooting, we go to the second point which is slightly spacious and windy as well during that time. feel like sleeping there if the place is a flat land.

second stopping point with Bukit Tabur view...

the fail attempt of multiple screen shots...

after spending sometime over there and William ordered wantan mee for us when we done hiking, we continue our journey to further up and of course for better view.

shots of the big lake and sky

middle : peak that we are heading to

here are the compilation of the 2 hikers that hike with me that day. Turn out Yanjie's more 'yeng' than William cause of the camera.

that boy who came back from Manchester. wore an original jersey to hike...rich ass

the pro-hiker/ organiser showing off his DSLR...

I am so going to get 1 soon, when I have the money...

top : where we have been through
bottom : where we are heading to

after nearly 2 hours, we have reached the second or third peak...

then we came to the biggest challenge of this hiking. the ultimate rope climbing to reach the last peak.

left : we are about to climb
center : ropes that help us to climb
right: view from the top

after nearly 2 hours of hiking and photo taking, finally we reached the last peak. If we didnt stop to take photos, the entire hiking only takes less than 1 hour according to Yanjie.

of course, the view is better. After enjoying the view, we continue our journey to the very dead end of this trail.

left : where we have been through. some shots while on the way
we still have to go through a narrow path way which is kind of dangerous cause any mistake might cause our life. yes, i am serious!!!

this is where I really feels lik I was in LOTR.

view from dead end...it took around 30 seconds for a small stone to hit the opposite end.

multiple shots from dead end...

aint it makes you feel like you are in another world?? Middle Earth maybe...

after that we went back to the peak and hang out awhile before going back down. with the same trail. it is totally different from Bukit Tabur that we went last year, difficult to go up but easy way to go down. this side we have to go back down from where we came from. it is killing especially on those that require rope climbing.

like this one. process to go back down.
1. slowly walk down
2. slowly sit down (lower our balance point and slowly move downwards)
3. view from bottom
4. rope that helps us going back down again
5. if can see red, that is William. I am still on top waiting Yanjie to reach the bottom before I can begin.
6. all the way back to the peak..long way~

down down down down...

we reach the flat ground around 12.20pm. total hiking time is around 4 hours 30 minutes.

this would be my last hiking with them until dont know when...sooner I will be start working and they will fly here and there. busy with own life.

I feel great to pick up this so called hobby to hike. giving me a chance to get close again to the nature and also to make myself sweat. this holiday makes me fat!!!

thanks guys for the wonderful time. (dont cry when you read this...haha)
