I have talk about football on previous few blogs..but I never talk about my beloved team so far..
so, it is time to update you guys some of Manchester United's latest informations..
although it might be slightly outdated, but this is something I wanted to post~

Transfer (in)
just right after previous season ended and before the transfer window started..Manchester United has already signed 3 world class and promising players.

(I will never leave Manchester United behind me, I bought United official mag before I leave KL to Genting and the DVD at Genting before United opening match against Reading )
as Manchester United had won their 9th English Premier League but failed to perform well in European stage as we have been knocked out by AC Milan in semi-final.
it is time to bring in some quality players to strengthen the squad.

First signing will be Owen Hargreaves. The 26 years old Canadian-born England international defensive midfielder from Bayern Munich. After one year of waiting, finally the man is on our side!!!
as the man said " I've won everything a player can win in Germany. I can't wait to start over again", with his experiences in major tournament, it will only benefits the club.

Next will be highly rated 20 years old Portuguese winger Luis Carlos Almeida da Cunha or better known as Nani. Been tipped as the next Cristiano Ronaldo where both of them played for Sporting Lisbon before joining United and some believe that lightning can strike twice in United ( if you seen how well Ronaldo been develop in United for recent years)
as what Nani said "to play with Ronaldo again will be fantastic" and the likes of Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo will only benefits this young star.

The third major signing is Anderson Luis de Abreu Oliveira or better known as Anderson. The 19 years old Brazillian attacking midfielder from Porto before signing for United, has been rated as the next Ronaldinho. Despite, he can be develop into a more complete player especially joining such a big club at his age.
As what Anderson said " my name is Anderson, not Ronaldinho", he is about to create his own fame at this big club!!

and the most recent signing from West Ham United, is Carlos Alberto Tevez. The 23 years old Argentinian striker who have the same quality of Wayne Rooney, has single handed keep West Ham away from relegation on previous season by scoring 7 goals in their last 10 matches. Due to the transfer saga, United will loan Tevez for 2 years before signing him.

United has paid over 40million for the first 3 players while they believe Tevez will cost them at least 30million. With the balance of attacking and defensive selection, Sir Alex Ferguson's side will be much more stronger.

Alan Smith has signed for Newcastle United after spending 3 seasons with Manchester United with 61 caps and scoring 7 goals. As a striker, he has been pushed down to take over defensive midfield role after the departure of former captain Roy Keane at year 2005. His bravery and aggressive playing style has earn him a place in Man United's fan's heart.

Kieran Richardson has signed for Sunderland who managed by United's former captain Roy Keane.The England-born left winger can also play as left back has played for United's reserve and first team for about 4 seasons. He have 41 caps and scoring 2 goals.

We all sad to see players leave to another club, but it seems like we have no choice but wish them all the best with their new clubs.

Matches
United had won the Community Shield after beating Chelsea 3-0 in penalty shootout. The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. Dutch keeper Edwin Van Der Sar was the hero who saved all 3 penalties taken by Chelsea's players. First silverware of the season, hope got more to come!!!

English Premier League has finally started!!! Defending champion Manchester United failed to score pass Reading and the match ended with 0-0. Wayne Rooney fractured his toe after the incident above and will be out for at least 2 months.
Other title challengers had won their respective match. Arsenal won 2-1 against Fulham, Liverpool won 2-1 against Aston Villa and Chelsea won 3-2 against Birmingham.

midweek, Manchester United second league game against Portsmouth. Due to the injury of Wayne Rooney, Tevez has made his shocked debut and playing well. United drew 1-1 with Portsmouth and Cristiano Ronaldo been suspended for 3 matches after receiving a straight red card after some incident.
United biggest title contender, Chelsea had won their second league match after beating Reading 2-1.

It surely a frustrating starting for United, but we can bounce back immediately!!!
